Charity Square: Oracle of Seasons Link

My first charity square is complete! It was a change to work with only a few colours after my Jill/Vincent piece but it lacks challenge. It stitches very fast as there are many solid blocks of colour. My original plan for this was to do one colour at a time. Instead I started in the middle, finished a strand of one colour, switched to another colour, and so on until he was done. So here is, washed and pressed and fiercely determined to take down Onox:
Oracle of Seasons Link
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
GBC
Started: February 19, 2011
Finished: March 12, 2011
Fabric: 16 count white aida
Colours: 12
Size: 5957 stitches

My next charity square will be 40 colours and it's my favourite pattern of the three I made.  But first, it's on like Donkey Kong. Or at least, I wish it was. My pattern is charted, my threads are organized but my fabric still hasn't arrived. I currently use 123Stitch which has amazing selection but slow shipping. I assume it's because I'm in Canada. Ah, well.

An update on Pan's Shadow:  I think I am going to restart this one. I put quite a few hours in but the stitching coverage is not satisfying to me. I am reordering the fabric to start over as it is quite delicate and does not frog well. -_- I found the satin floss to be manageable but I am just not liking the result.

Link looks great!

I hope you can figure out Pan's Shadow so you enjoy stitching it. I'm sure it'll look fantastic once it's done.

Sorry to hear you have troubles with Pan :/Cause I really am looking forward to seeing your stitching on it, lol :D Really loved it when I first saw it on your blog, along with the stash you've chosen for it! Soo, good luck! ^^

I don't know how I missed that this was for a project for Child's Play. I thought it was cool before, my hat is now truly off for you and this amazing charity.

Oh wow, congrats on the finish. He looks awesome!! One of my friends named his dog Link after the game. I'm going to have to show this to him. :)

Link looks lovely! I'm sure someone will love him very much :) I'm sorry to hear about your troubles with Pan's Shadow. Sometimes that happens, but it's always hard to start over again, especially after you put a lot of time in. I hope your new fabric will hold up better and that you'll get a level of coverage that you like. It's terrible to have your floss be too thick or too thin; it drives me *crazy* when that happens, lol. Good luck!
